When you think about your business vision what do you see?
Are you on a stage in front of thousands? Are you an author celebrating the publishing of a book? Maybe you are leading a retreat in another country?
What is your big business dream?
Maybe it’s being able to donate and give back to local schools?
Or, as one of my new clients shares…she dreams of providing new teachers with a coach to help them through those first few years and to change the way we think about educators.
That’s a big dream!
Sometimes you are in a position to take the leap and go all in on your dream.
Most often, there is life happening and we have to listen to the natural rhythms in our life…the priorities calling to us.
What I know for sure though, is that there will NEVER be the perfect time to step into your dream.
So why not start now with a baby step?
I’ve had a long-time dream of leading retreats in Costa Rica. While I was raising my boys as a single mom, I read about Costa Rica and paid attention to retreat destinations there.
I read emails from retreat locations and stay up on what they have been doing during the pandemic. I talk to people who have visited Costa Rica and ask questions.
Last month I got together with a friend and colleague who had just returned from a retreat there at a location I’ve been eyeing. I wanted to hear all about it as we sat outside a favorite coffee shop. She raved about the experience.
Then I got back home and opened an email from this same retreat place and guess what? They were offering a special opportunity to visit!
I said YES!
The next step in stepping my dream of leading a retreat in Costa Rica…go to a retreat in Costa Rica!
I was ready, and in less than 2 weeks, I’ll be there!
This will prepare my energy, confidence and knowledge to offer my own retreats there.
It might look like a big leap to some. What I know is I’ve been taking baby steps toward my big business dream all along.
