I’m also excited to share today’s article is about where do you limit your abundance and joy…and therefore your success? I have a great story from my apartment search last week to highlight how sneaky this withholding of abundance we do to ourselves can be.

Where do you limit your abundance, joy and success?

Last week I went on a trip to my hometown looking to move back to create a life by the ocean. I met a girlfriend there for a long weekend and we toured my list of apartments and condos I had found online.

The funny thing is, I already knew which place I wanted. There is a new luxury apartment complex that opened last year on the inlet leading to the Chesapeake Bay, not far from the ocean. (water access everywhere!)

Instead of listening to my inner wisdom wisdom of what I already knew my soul wanted, I needed to tour all sorts of other properties and debate the logic of choosing the luxury apartment!

This apartment complex is about creating a community of people who want to connect, create relationships and be active in nature, walking on trails, sunrise kayaking, meeting in their yoga studio, etc.

It’s so in alignment with what I want the next chapter of my life to be all about!

And yet, I resisted.

I debated.

I had to prove it was worth it. They have a co-working space AND a beautiful conference room I can use for free for my private client retreats so I’ll save money there, right?!

While this business use and savings of the co-working space is true – there was something bigger going on underneath all of the pros and cons.

It really was about me honoring my desires. Because I want to. Because it feels good.

I want to be in the beautiful, inspiring apartment with an engaged and active community because this is what I want.

Period.

That’s enough. I don’t have to justify what I want.

And neither do you.

You get to want what you want because life is meant to be enjoyed.

When you are in your flow of joy…it’s crazy attractive and fun!

Before your Inner Protector swoops in and starts saying that you can’t do whatever you want…what about money, what about others?

Just BE with what you want a little longer.

Without shutting it down.

Keep breathing and stay open to what you want.

Then allow yourself to look for the essence of what you want underneath the form.

What I really want…I’m tired of living in places that are good but are not an extraordinary fit for me. I want beauty, safety, inspiration, connection, community, to feel supported, to have ample space and to feel happy when I walk into my home sanctuary and also to know I have room for my business and guests.

This new apartment supports me in living in this abundance.

What a lesson in allowing abundance and flow. In allowing myself to have what I really want.

What I know for sure is that when I allow myself to look underneath the form and truly acknowledge what I really desire then the abundance opens up. When I allow myself to accept the abundance and joy then my success expands.
