Getting your Spark Back!

Your spark… it’s not gone forever…

Almost two years ago, I celebrated a milestone birthday by walking part of the Camino Francés in northern Spain.

When I came home, something unexpected happened.

One by one, anything that was no longer in alignment with who I was becoming began to fall away.

A romantic partnership that had run its course.
A team that I’d outgrown.

And then there was my business.

I never really did “bro marketing,” but I realized how much I had been comparing myself to what I thought I should be doing if I really wanted to be successful.

      • Post more.
      • Create more.
      • Sell more.
      • Perform for the algorithms more.

I just couldn’t do it anymore.

My aliveness and joy felt like they disappeared, and creating felt hard.

For almost two years, I wondered if I had lost my creative spark.

Looking back, I don’t think I lost it at all.

I was letting go of an old way of creating so something more authentic could emerge.

What I couldn’t see then was that I wasn’t losing myself.

I was finding a truer way of being myself.

Along the way, I rediscovered Human Design through a much more expansive and feminine lens. I found language, rituals, and simple daily practices that helped me reconnect with myself instead of trying to push harder.

Today, my creative spark feels brighter than it has in years.

Now I’m asking a different questions:

What are the ways of sharing that bring me joy?

That’s the inspiration behind the visual I’m sharing with you today.

I hope it reminds you that if your spark feels quiet right now, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s gone. Sometimes it’s simply waiting for enough space to be heard.

Let this visual be a reminder and keep it alive.

A few ideas…

      • Save it as your computer wallpaper.
      • Print it and place it near where you enjoy your morning cuppa.
      • Tape it to your bathroom mirror as a gentle reminder each morning.
      • Tuck it inside your journal and revisit it whenever you need to reconnect with what’s possible.

Over the summer, I’ll be sharing one of these visual field notes each week. They’re part of a collection I’ve been creating around the New Era Skills & Practices I’m remembering and believing more fully while living, and teaching them.

If you know about Human Design – that is my Profile Type,3/5 Innovative Leader in action.

My hope is that each one offers a gentle disruption, awakens a little wonder in you, and helps you become more fully yourself.
